Biography

Ettore is an Italian lawyer registered with the Bar Association of the City of Bari (Italy) since 1994. From 2012 to 2015, Ettore was also registered with the Solicitor Regulation Authority (SRA) of England and Wales as a European Registered Lawyer.

Ettore is specialised in the field of sports and entertainment law. He holds a Specialisation Course in Entertainment Business Management from the LUISS School of Management in Rome (Italy), a Post-graduate Course in Sports Law and Economics at the University of Teramo (Italy), a Master in Sports Organizations Management (MEMOS) from the Claude Bernard University of Lyon (France), and a Master Honoris Causa in International Sports Law LLM from the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia (ISDE) in Madrid (Spain).

Having established his law office in Italy in 1994, Ettore, in July 2018, became the Founding and Managing Partner of MCA Sports Law LLP, with offices in Doha (Qatar). He regularly represents clients before the judicial bodies of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), football confederations such as the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), as well as at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Since March 2005, Ettore has served as Legal Director for the Qatar Football Association (QFA). Ettore is also Co-Founder and President of Rex Sport Association, a renowned association of prestigious sports lawyers from around the world.

Ettore holds several positions as a part-time professor in sports law and sports management for courses and master programmes worldwide. Additionally, he is frequently invited as a speaker at conferences, seminars and workshops, and has written numerous articles and publications pertaining to sports law.

Biography

Martin specialises in party representation in front of decision-making bodies of sports federations. Frequently, the disputes are of a commercial, labour, disciplinary and/or ethics nature. Martin has been involved with and represented prestigious clients in more than one hundred cases in front of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), as well as the Swiss Federal Tribunal.

Martin is highly specialised in all aspects relating to player eligibility for representative teams, drafting of sport regulations, and governance-related matters pertaining to sport organisations. Moreover, Martin has focused on the realisation and implementation of complex sport projects, including the establishment of a national arbitration tribunal and international scouting/training projects.

Equally, Martin has vast experience in all aspects relating to the negotiation and execution of transfer agreements, as well as the conclusion of employment contracts for both coaches and players.

Prior to founding MCA Sports Law LLP, Martin was appointed as Senior Legal Advisor to the Qatar Football Association (QFA) in 2009, where he has gained significant experience in the organization of major sporting events, such as the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011.

Martin obtained his Law Degree from the prestigious Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität in Munich, Germany in 2005 and was admitted to the Bar in 2008. Martin also holds a Master Degree (LLM) in International Sports Law from the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia in Madrid/Spain, awarded with honours in 2008.

In addition, Martin regularly publishes academic articles on international sports law and acts as a lecturer for various courses, conferences and workshops.

Konstantinos has more than sixteen (16) years of experience in sports law. He has advised and acted for numerous sports governing bodies, athletes, clubs and individuals related to dispute cases before the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the Asian Football Confederations (AFC), the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT). Regularly, Konstantinos is involved in dispute cases of an employment and regulatory nature, as well as in disciplinary matters and ethics proceedings.

Konstantinos has also been actively involved in the negotiation, drafting and conclusion of transfer and employment contracts concerning players and coaches worldwide.

With extensive experience in commercial matters, Konstantinos is well-positioned to provide practical commercial advice on complex legal issues, including new technologies, such as blockchain applications in sports.

In addition to his position at MCA, Konstantinos has acted as a Senior Legal Advisor to the Qatar Football Association (QFA) since 2010, where he has acquired a profound understanding of the region.

Prior to that, Konstantinos worked in Athens at a leading sports law firm, where he gained considerable experience advising clients, in particular, on football, basketball and volleyball related matters of a national and international dimension.

Konstantinos is a regular participant at prestigious conferences on international sports law and arbitration, and has contributed to several publications in his field of expertise.
